For April 2023, Mahindra has disclosed its sales data for both its passenger and commercial vehicle segments. On all counts, there has been growth. From 22,526 units sold in April 2022 to 34,698 units sold in April 2023, passenger vehicle sales increased by 54 per cent YoY. Sales for the entire portfolio totalled 62,294 units, representing a 36 per cent year-over-year (YoY) increase. Mahindra continued to experience difficulties with the supply of semiconductors, just like every other automobile manufacturer in India. Even though this shortage is not as bad as it was in the previous two years, it has still had a negative impact on production, which has increased the wait times for some models. Mahindra has a larger customer base because it also offers a range of body styles, including the standard 7-seater, the under 4-metre variant, and the adaptable Maxi truck in pick-up truck style.
