Mahindra launches Big Bolero pick-up truck with higher payload capacity of 1,500 kg. Prices for the pick-up truck start at Rs. 6.15 lakh
Mahindra has further expanded its fairly broad pick-up truck model line-up with yet another version of its ever popular Bolero. Named as the ‘Big Bolero pick-up’, this new version happens to be as its name suggests – the highest payload capacity Bolero pick-up truck with a permissible limit of 1,500 kg. While the underpinnings have been strengthened to deal with more weight, the Big Bolero pick-up has the longest flatbed length of nine feet or 2,765mm. Mahindra has focused on improving the interiors of the Big Bolero as well with dual ton interiors, better ergonomics, front bucket seats, a mobile phone holder and charging socket.
Mahindra has is offering the Big Bolero pick-up with a flat bed or as a cowl body chassis on which buyers can further build as per their requirements.
The Mahindra Big Bolero pick-up has been created to meet the void for higher capacity pick-up trucks in the market states the company. The Mahindra Big Bolero pick-up is available in both BS III and BS IV and is powered by the company’s tired and tested 2,523cc, four cylinder, turbocharged DI diesel engine that is badged as the MDI 3200. The unit develops 63HP in BS III spec and 70HP in the BS IV model. Torque is rated at 195Nm between 1,500 rpm and 1,800 rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The truck has a claimed fuel efficiency figure of 13 km/l and is being offered with a 3 year unlimited kilometer warranty.

Prices for the Big Bolero pick-up start at Rs. 6.13 lakh for the BS III model and goes up to Rs. 6.30 lakh (ex-showroom Pune) for the BS IV model.
