Nissan Motor India has seen a year-on-year hike of 23 per cent in their monthly sales. Interestingly, a similar jump of 23 per cent has also been announced with respect to the company's cumulative year-to-date growth in the domestic market, selling 4,631 cars in May 2023 when compared to May 2022.
During the month of May 2023, the Japanese car manufacturer sold 2,618 units domestically, while its exports figure stood at 2,013 units. The carmaker managed to keep the sales figure up with the popular Nissan Magnite. Plus, the sales growth also came hot on the heels of the newly launched Geza edition of the Magnite SUV, priced at Rs 7.39 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Nissan Magnite is adjudged one of the safest cars in its segment and has secured a 4-star adult occupant safety rating from the Global NCAP. The SUV prioritises safety with an electronic stability programme, traction control, hill start assist, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. It is sold across 15 international markets, including Seychelles, Bangladesh, Uganda, and Brunei.

Sharing his thoughts on the occasion, Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said, "The positive momentum continues with a growth of 23% on the strength of strong demand for Nissan Magnite. The introduction of Nissan Magnite Special Edition Geza with an attractive value proposition at a very competitive price positioning has strengthened the brand Magnite".
Nissan Magnite Geza: Features
The new Geza Edition draws inspiration from Japanese theatre and its expressive musical themes, according to Nissan. It gets a host of features, such as a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, JBL sound system, rear parking camera with trajectory guidelines, ambient lighting with App-based controls, shark fin antenna, and Beige coloured upholstery. Blade Silver, Flare Garnet Red, Strom White, Sandstone Brown, and Onyx Black are the five colour options available with the Geza.
Nissan Magnite Geza: Engine
Powering the Magnite Geza is a 1.0-litre non-turbo manual engine with a maximum power output of 71bhp and a peak torque of 96Nm. A 5-speed manual gearbox is mated to it.
