Leapmotor India Entry Confirmed by Stellantis, to Bring Premium EV Range Soon

Stellantis has announced that it will bring Leapmotor’s global electric vehicle (EV) range to the Indian market, marking a significant step in the company’s EV strategy for the region. As part of its expansion into India’s rapidly growing electric vehicle sector, Stellantis aims to introduce Leapmotor's innovative and diverse lineup to local consumers. This move seeks to leverage Leapmotor’s expertise in electric mobility alongside Stellantis' established market presence, offering a fresh and exciting range of EVs for Indian buyers. With a focus on sustainability, advanced technology, and performance, this launch is set to cater to the evolving preferences of Indian consumers, who are increasingly opting for cleaner, more efficient transportation options.

Leapmotor to Mark India Debut
Leapmotor’s debut in the Indian market supports Stellantis’ vision to foster innovation and strengthen its presence in the rapidly expanding electric vehicle segment. The brand’s commitment to low-emission transportation complements Stellantis’ broader sustainability-driven roadmap. In 2024, Leapmotor recorded the delivery of nearly 3 lakh vehicles, achieving double the sales compared to the previous year.

Leapmotor’s global EV portfolio is built to serve a wide array of mobility demands, combining practicality with innovation. It features the C10, a full-electric SUV; the C01, a modern, zero-emission sedan; and the T03, a compact, agile runabout designed for dense urban environments.
The Leapmotor T03 is powered by a 94bhp front-mounted electric motor delivering 159Nm of torque. It features a 37.3kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, providing a WLTP range of up to 265 km. The T03 accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 12.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 130km/h.
The C10 SUV has a rear-mounted electric motor that delivers 214.5bhp of power and 320Nm of torque. It draws energy from a 69.9kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. With a WLTP-rated range of 420 km, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds.

Speaking of the C01 sedan, it offers both pure electric and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) powertrains. The all-electric variant features a 268bhp rear-mounted motor producing 360Nm of torque, paired with a 90kWh NMC battery, delivering up to 717 km CLTC range. The EREV version combines the same 268bhp motor with a 1.5-litre petrol engine acting as a generator and a 43.7kWh battery, providing a pure electric range of up to 316 km.
