KTM has revealed new TFT touchscreens to enhance the Human-Machine Interface (HMI) experience for its upcoming motorcycles. This upgrade is accompanied by redesigned handlebar switchgear and a new connectivity system. Talking about the screens, the first one is an 8-inch vertically oriented panel called the V80. The second one is an 8.8-inch horizontally placed display, known as the H88. Both units have a 1280 x 720 high resolution. According to KTM, the new V80 and H88 screens sport inductive touchscreen technology, enabling riders to control them with or without gloves. They also feature bonded screen technology, including Anti-Reflex, Anti-Fingerprint, and Anti-Glare coatings for improved user interface visibility from all angles. KTM TFT Touchscreens: What's More?
Although the IP rating is not indicated, KTM claims that its upcoming displays can function flawlessly in all weather conditions. The main screen now features virtual buttons, eliminating the need for extra physical switches. This enables the rider to control features such as fog lights, heated grips, and rider-heated seats.
Besides this, the screens have greater customisation options. For instance, users can now select from five different layout options and utilize adjustable split-screen capability. They may also choose which information will be shown on their main home screen, including telemetry data, music controls, adaptive cruise control, and map navigation.
The new TFT panels sport integrated offline map navigation, allowing riders to access real-time navigation without connecting their phones. They get an upgraded Computer Control Unit (CCU) with 32 GB of storage 3 GB of RAM and the Android Automotive operating system. This enables Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, eSim, and a GPS antenna for Internet of Things connectivity.

Updated Switchgear
KTM has improved the handlebar switchgear in addition to the display. The updated switchgear now has a dedicated button for ride mode selection, a 5-way joystick, and new cruise control buttons. There is a new A/M (automatic/manual) button for AMT models. Additionally, for machines without AMT, new paddle buttons are available that can be modified.
