Kia has introduced a new AI voice assistant in Europe to enhance the driving and user experience. The system understands natural language and context, aiming to deliver more human-like and accurate responses to voice commands. It will continue to improve through Over-the-Air (OTA) updates, allowing seamless upgrades in intelligence and functionality without requiring any action from the driver or a visit to the dealership.
This OTA capability will also enable Kia to upgrade the voice recognition systems in its latest electric vehicles, such as the EV3, via the connected car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) platform.
Kia AI Voice Assistant: More Highlights
To use Kia's AI Assistant, drivers can press a button on the steering wheel or say ‘Hey Kia.’ They can ask almost anything, from how the car works to general questions like travel tips or facts. The more details they give, the better the AI can understand and answer. The new system can also help drivers learn about and use the car's features, even suggesting driving aids when needed.

Kia is progressively introducing its advanced AI Assistant to global markets, beginning with the K4 in the U.S. and the EV3 in Korea. Now expanding into Europe, the Assistant will come standard on EV3 models built from March 2025, while earlier units will receive the feature via an over-the-air update.
Initially launched in Korea in July and the U.S. in November last year, the AI Assistant is part of Kia’s broader plan to bring intelligent, voice-enabled support to more drivers worldwide.
