In October, TVS Motor Company achieved a remarkable milestone with sales reaching a record-breaking 4,34,714 units, reflecting a substantial 21% increase from the previous year's sales of 3,60,288 units. The overall two-wheeler sales saw a commendable 22% surge, rising to 4,20,610 units compared to the 3,44,630 units sold in October 2022.
Domestic two-wheeler sales witnessed a robust 25% growth in October, climbing from 2,75,934 units in the corresponding period last year to an impressive 344,957 units. Motorcycle sales also experienced a notable uptick, increasing by 23% to 2,01,965 units compared to 1,64,568 units in the same period last year. Scooter sales followed suit, registering a 22% gain by rising from 135,190 units in October 2022 to 1,65,135 units this month.
Furthermore, the TVS iQube electric scooter demonstrated remarkable performance, with sales soaring to 20,153 units in October 2023, a significant surge from the 8,103 units recorded in October 2022. On the three-wheeler front, the company's sales reached 14,104 units last month, a slight decrease from the 15,658 units reported in October 2022.

October Export Figures
In terms of the manufacturer's export figures, there was a notable surge, with sales increasing from 82,816 units in the same month last year to 87,952 units in October 2023. This marks a commendable 6% boost in exports. Two-wheeler exports specifically experienced a significant uptick, rising from 68,696 units in October 2022 to 75,653 units last month, reflecting a substantial 10% increase in sales.

TVS Ronin Special Edition Launched
The company recently rolled out the new Ronin Special Edition for the Indian market, which retails for Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom). This special edition of the modern-retro motorcycle – a first for the brand – receives cosmetic and feature improvements. In contrast to the standard version, the special edition gets a new Nimbus Grey shade and distinct body graphics. The special edition model also comes with a USB charger, an eye-catching flyscreen, and a custom-designed EFI cover, all of which contribute to the model's functionality and aesthetic appeal. The bike sports a three-tone paint job, with a base grey colour complemented with white and red stripes on the fuel tank and side panels. In addition, the Ronin special edition features modest black finishing on the headlight bezel and wheel rims, along with delicate detailing on the R logo pattern.
The standard Ronin model also gets a multitude of features, including full LED headlights, an offset LCD instrument cluster with a TVS SmartXonnect Bluetooth module for communication, rain and road ABS modes, a slipper clutch, and the glide-through tech. It is powered by a 225.9cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine, which puts out 20.2bhp of maximum power at 7,750rpm and 19.93Nm of peak torque at 3,750rpm and is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission.
