UX Green Tyre: What's New?
Many people are oblivious of the impact that tyres have on the environment. Tyres made up of unsustainable raw materials not only emit gases while being made, but when improperly disposed of, they also pollute the air and water. Several automobile tyre producers are taking the initiative to lower the environmental damage by contributing towards introducing tyres made from eco-friendly base materials. JK Tyre has also recently introduced the 'UX Green' tyre, which is manufactured from sustainable materials.
According to JK Tyre, the new product is the result of decades of study, which focused on creating sustainable alternatives to replace traditional petroleum-based materials. According to the company, the recently developed 'UX Green' tyre offers performance on par with that of a standard radial tyre, with a lower carbon impact.
Commenting on the tyre introduction, Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director, JK Tyre said, “Offering a product that is so closely connected with our overall sustainability goals is something we at JK Tyre are very proud of. With a strong emphasis on creating substitutes to conserve the ecosystem, the tyre has been fully designed & developed using 80% sustainable materials''
He further added, ''This development is not only a reflection of our highly skilled R&D team, but it also reinforces our serious commitment to advancing sustainable growth and boosting societal value creation, moving towards carbon neutrality
by 2050. The range of such tyres will be offered in due course.''
