The Meridian SUV has also received a price hike in the country, just like the Compass. As previously mentioned, the Compass has experienced a price increment of up to Rs 43,000. However, the Meridian has undergone a price increase of up to Rs 3.14 lakh (ex-showroom). These prices are ex-showroom. In our market, the Meridian SUV now carries a starting price tag of Rs 33.40 Lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the Compass ex-showroom pricing in India begins at Rs 21.73 lakh. The petrol engine was removed from the Compass lineup by the automaker in May of this year because it did not meet BS6 Phase 2 emissions requirements.
Many industry reports claim that the majority of Compass sales used to come from the petrol versions. Reportedly, its sales decreased from 550–650 units per month to 250–300 units when the 1.4-litre petrol engine was phased out. Although there has been no official confirmation, online sources imply that the company may offer a new turbo-petrol engine as a replacement for the discontinued motor. More details regarding this expected motor are anticipated to emerge soon.

Jeep Meridian: Price Hike
The SUV's base Limited (O) 4x2 MT model has increased in price by Rs 45,000, while the SUV's X model has seen a price increment of Rs 42,000. Additionally, there has been a Rs 47,000 and Rs 48,000 price increase for the Limited (O) 4x2 AT and Limited Plus 4x2 AT, respectively. The top Limited (O) 4x4 AT and Limited Plus 4x4 AT variants have also encountered a Rs 51,000 price hike. The cost of the Meridian Upland edition has witnessed a price revision of Rs. 3.14 lakh. All are ex-showroom figures.
Jeep Meridian: Engine
A 2-litre turbo-diesel engine powers the Jeep Meridian and produces 168bhp and 350Nm. A 6-speed manual and a 9-speed automatic are both gearbox options for this powerplant. Only the top-end automatic version comes with all-wheel drive (AWD). There is no petrol unit accessible with the SUV right now.

Jeep Compass: New Prices
There are three versions of the Compass SUV available: Sport, Limited (O), and Model S (O), and the higher-spec model has received a maximum price increase of Rs 43,000 in our market. The price of the SUV now ranges between Rs 21.73 lakh and Rs 32.07 lakh in India. All prices are ex-showroom.
