For the month of June, Toyota Kirloskar Motor recorded sales of 19,608 units, which included 1,371 exports and 18,237 domestic sales. Even though the company's sales results show a 19 per cent rise over June 2022, they are still lower than May 2023, when it managed to post its highest monthly sales record of 20,410 units. However, Toyota's sales figures are improving as its half-yearly and quarterly sales have increased significantly compared to the previous year. The brand sold 1,02,371 units in the first half of 2023, a 36 per cent increase over the 75,017 units it sold during the same time in 2022. On the other hand, quarterly sales for the months of April through June of this year totalled 55,528 units, a 33 per cent increase over the 41,813 units sold during the same time last year. The firm credits its expansion to the popularity of recently introduced products such as the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the Innova Hycross and to constant sales figures for the remainder of its product line.

Sharing his thoughts on the company’s performance last month, Atul Sood, Vice President of Sales, and Strategic Marketing at Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, "Toyota Kirloskar Motor continues to post strong sales growth, thanks to the robust performance of our entire product range we achieved a remarkable growth of 19% in the month of June. Ever since the launch of Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Innova Hycross, we are witnessing continued high acceptance by our customers. These along with consistent performance by the entire product portfolio – Camry Hybrid, Fortuner, Legender, Vellfire, Glanza, and the newly introduced Hilux, further encouraged by exceptional customer satisfaction, are enabling us to sustain the positive performance. This and the various thrilling experiential drives conducted across the country for the Hilux fan base enable Toyota to win more hearts across the country."
Toyota Innova Hycross and Hyryder Take the Lead
The carmaker not only reported a 19 per cent YoY gain but also had a 32.80 per cent spike in Q2 2023 sales. Sales increased to 55,528 units over the period mentioned above from the 41,813 units sold in Q2 2022, representing an increase in volume of 13,715 units. Additionally, it represented an increase of 18.99% compared to the 46,665 units sold during the first quarter of 2023. The company's revenues have dramatically increased during the last six months. Because of the increased demand for both the Toyota Hyryder and the Innova Hycross, sales have been especially remarkable. The sales of Toyota grew by 36.46 per cent to 1,02,371 units during the first half of the year (Jan.-June 2023) compared to the 75,017 units sold during the same period in 2022. This represented a volume boost of 27,354 units.

2024 Toyota Vellfire MPV with Hybrid Powertrain and ADAS Unveiled Globally
Toyota Motor Corporation recently introduced the fourth-generation 2024 Vellfire luxury MPV internationally. Buyers worldwide will be able to acquire the Vellfire and its sibling model, the Alphard, which are now on sale in Japan, in the coming months. The Vellfire is currently available in India, and the fourth-generation model is expected to arrive in 2024. Following the leaked images of the new Vellfire MPV last month, the automaker released the first batch of official photographs and details. For those who are unaware, the new Toyota Vellfire and the more luxurious second-gen Lexus LM350h MPV debuted a few weeks ago.
Toyota has opted for hybrid powertrains in the majority of its most recent models. When the Vellfire arrives in India, it will join other hybrid cars such as the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the Innova Hycross. The new Vellfire has two different engine choices. The first is a 2.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with a CVT transmission that generates 279bhp of maximum power and 430Nm of peak torque. The 2.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol-hybrid, which has a combined power output of 250bhp and is paired with an e-CVT gearbox, is the second available unit.
Furthermore, Toyota provides a two-wheel drive and a four-wheel drive system for the new Vellfire. Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) technology will also be available on the Vellfire. Notably, when it debuts, it will be the country's first MPV with this function. The redesigned Vellfire will be outfitted with Toyota's Safety Sense system, which includes tools like remote parking, radar cruise control, lane tracing aid, and proactive driving support for lane changes.
