Toyota sold 20,494 cars overall in April 2024, marking a significant 32% year-over-year gain over the 15,510 vehicles delivered at the same time the previous year. It sold 18,700 units domestically and 1,794 in overseas. The manufacturer maintained its sales success despite a week-long maintenance downtime from April 06–14, 2024. In the first four months of CY2024, Toyota delivered 97,503 units, which is a 48% increase from 65,871 cars sold in CY2023.

Toyota saw a considerable 25% year-over-year increase in March 2024, with 27,180 units sold. It sold 21,783 units in March of last year. The carmaker reported total sales of 25,200 units in February this year, indicating a YoY increase of 61% over 15,685 units sold during the same period in 2023.

Toyota Rumion CNG Bookings Reopen in India
Toyota has opened reservations for the CNG-powered Rumion in India after suspending them last year due to an unexpectedly high volume of orders. The MPV in its CNG guise (Rs 11.39 lakh) offers a mileage of 26.11km/kg. It delivers a lower output of 86bhp and 121.5Nm than its petrol counterpart (102bhp and 136.8Nm).
