Toyota Kirloskar Motor has released its sales numbers for June 2024. It recorded its highest-ever sales of 27,474 units last month, including 25,752 units in terms of domestic sales. Exports, on the other hand, stood at 1,722 units. Thanks to the growing demand for the Innova Crysta, Fortuner, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Hilux, Rumion, and the newly launched Urban Cruiser Taisor, Toyota posted a strong 40 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase, compared to 19,608 units sold in June 2023.
Moreover, the first six months (January–June 2024) of CY2024 fared better than what the company reported in January–June 2023. During the first six months of CY2023, Toyota sold 1,02,371 units, whereas over 1.50 lakh units went to buyers in the January–June 2024 period (a growth of 47 per cent).

Toyota Taisor: Specs
The Toyota Taisor, which is a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, gets a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Toyota also offers a CNG option with a naturally aspirated engine. Three different transmissions are on offer: a 5-speed manual, a 5-speed automated manual (AMT) for the 1.2-litre engine, and a 6-speed torque converter automatic for the 1.0-litre motor.

Priced from Rs 7.74 lakh to Rs 13.04 lakh (both ex-showroom), the Toyota Taisor comes in E, S, S+, G, and V variants. It rivals the Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and the Kia Sonet in the segment.
