The three-day mobility summit threw some light on future trends in mobility.
Manesar-based International Centre of Automotive Technology (ICAT) organised the NuGen Mobility Summit 2019 from November 27-29. Touted as one of the biggest automotive conferences of its kind, the three-day summit witnessed the presentation of more than 120 technical research papers by experts from more than 15 countries, including India.
The conference was inaugurated in the presence of Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Union Minister of Road Transport, along with numerous other industry dignitaries being present in the occasion. Day 2 of the summit called for two plenary sessi0ns on the topics of Intelligent Transport Systems and Autonomous Vehicles. The sessions were chaired by speakers from distinguished organisations like NITI Aayog, MSIL, Mahindra & Mahindra, Deloitte, Polaris, etc. Day 2 also included a special plenary session for engineering students, with numerous lectures being delivered across six parallel conferences on topics like connected mobility, autonomous vehicles, electric mobility, alternative fuels, intelligent transportation systems, hydrogen fuel cells & vehicle dynamics.
OEMs & suppliers too participated to the fullest in the NuGen Mobility Summit 2019, by organising various track demos. Overall, the summit witnessed a 1,500+ visitor footfall.
