The 6th edition of the International Symposium on Lighting (ISoL) witnessed participation from as many as 14 OEMs from across the country.
International Centre for Automotive Technology, better known as ICAT, recently concluded the 6th edition of the International Symposium on Lighting (ISoL) on a high note. For those not aware, ISoL is ICAT's premier international symposium on lighting technologies, with special emphasis on automotive lighting tech & testing. The 5th edition of the event took place in 2017.
The 6th edition of ISoL consisted of six sessions over a period of two days wherein more than 24 technical papers were presented on topics ranging from intelligent lighting systems, Silicone-based LED tech to the history of Japanese regulations for motor vehicle lighting. The symposium also included a 30+ stall exhibition for automotive components and each day also consisted of a panel discussion. The panel discussion on Day 1 explored the topic 'Intelligent Lighting: The Road Ahead' while the second panel discussion discussed 'Road Safety in Dark hours: Assisting and Alarming Technologies'.
ISoL 2019 played host to some eminent personalities from the Indian automotive industry like Mr CV Raman (Maruti Suzuki India Ltd), Mr Praveen Paranjape (Honda Cars India Ltd), Dr J.K. Jain (Fiem Industries) & Shri N.K. Minda (Uno Minda Group). The inaugural session as conducted in the august presence of Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon’ble Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises.
