Hyundai Verna Waiting Period Reaches up to 7 Months in India

Hyundai launched the 2023 version of the Verna in March of this year. Prices of the revamped Verna range between Rs 10.90 lakh and Rs 17.38 lakh in the country. Both prices are ex-showroom. In a recent development, we have got our hands on the current waiting period for the updated Hyundai Verna. In our market, the sedan commands a waiting time of up to 28 to 30 weeks. Notably, this waiting duration may differ based on location, dealership, variant, and more. To know more, interested customers can contact their nearest authorized dealership outlet. For safety, the sixth-generation model of the Verna comes standard with six airbags, ABS, and EBD. However, the Advanced Driver Assistant System (ADAS) is available only on some models. According to the manufacturer, it has around 17 level 2 ADAS features driven by Hyundai SmartSense. 2023 Hyundai Verna: Engine & Gearbox

Talking of the powertrain, the 2023 Verna offers two choices: a 1.5-litre petrol naturally-aspirated engine and a 1.5-litre petrol turbo engine. The NA petrol engine generates a maximum power of 113bhp and a peak torque of 144Nm, coupled with a 6-speed manual or an IVT automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the turbo-petrol unit produces 158bhp of power and 253Nm of torque. For transmission, both a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT gearbox are available as options.

Hyundai India Upcoming Launches

In our market, Hyundai is all set to launch the much-anticipated Exter SUV. The SUV will go on sale in the country on July 10. Although the SUV has been officially teased several times ahead of the launch, its test mules kept on appearing on our roads, offering a sneak peek into the model's characteristics. Mechanically, the upcoming Exter will get a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine, which is also available with the Grand i10 Nios. Transmission duties will be taken care of by either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT.  It will also get a factory-installed CNG kit, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. According to market estimations, the all-new SUV may have a starting price of Rs 6 Lakh (ex-showroom).
