The waiting period for the all-new Hyundai Verna has reduced from 30 weeks in the previous month to 16 weeks now, offering potential customers a sigh of relief. The sixth generation of the Verna was launched in March this year, with prices ranging from Rs 10.90 lakh to Rs 17.38 lakh. Both are ex-showroom prices. The Verna is available in the country in four major variants – EX, S, SX, and SX(O) – with two engine options. However, it is worth mentioning that the waiting time for the sedan may vary, depending on factors such as area, dealership, and variant. The all-new Verna is offered with two engine options – a 1.5-litre NA unit or a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol motor. The petrol engine produces 113bhp and 144Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol motor produces 158bhp and 253Nm. The petrol model comes with a six-speed manual transmission or an IVT unit. The turbo-petrol engine, on the other hand, is available with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT transmission.

Hyundai Verna Gets 5-Star Crash Test Safety Rating from Global NCAP
The Hyundai Verna recently received a five-star safety rating from the Global New Car Assessment Programme (Global NCAP). The Verna is the first Hyundai vehicle manufactured in India to receive such a score in every category of the crash test. It received 28.18 out of 34 points for adult occupant protection and 42 out of 49 points for child occupant safety.
