The Hyundai Venue has reached a significant milestone, surpassing 6 lakh unit sales in India nearly five and a half years after its launch. It now stands as Hyundai’s second best-selling SUV, following the Creta, which has recorded over 11.30 lakh unit sales. Consistently performing well in the sub-4m SUV category, the Venue typically achieves monthly sales of 9,000–10,000 units. It hit 50,000 units within six months of its debut and crossed 1 lakh units in 15 months. Further milestones included 2 lakh sales in 25 months and 2.5 lakh in 30 months. By April last year, it had sold 3 lakh units in just three years. The Venue then reached 5 lakh units by November 2023, adding the final 1 lakh in about a year.

Hyundai Venue SUV: Engine Options
Coming to the mechanical side of things, the SUV is available with three engine options: a 1.5-litre diesel unit, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit, and a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol unit. The 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol mill, paired with a five-speed manual transmission, delivers 82bhp and 115Nm of torque.
Meanwhile, the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine offers 118bhp and 172Nm, with transmission options including a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT. For diesel enthusiasts, the engine produces 114bhp and 250Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
Hyundai Venue SUV: Feature Suite
Features-wise, the compact SUV from the South Korean automaker is packed with features such as an air purifier, an 8.0-inch touchscreen with built-in navigation, support for Alexa and Google Voice Assistant, a wireless charger, over-the-air (OTA) updates, a digital instrument cluster, a sunroof, a reclining rear seat, and a four-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat.
On the safety front, it includes ESC, six airbags, hill-assist control, vehicle stability management (VSM), and Level 1 ADAS, offered with the diesel and turbo-petrol variants.

The price of the Hyundai Venue starts at Rs 7.94 lakh for the base variant and goes up to Rs 13.53 lakh for the top-of-the-line variant. Both mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures.
Talking about the market rivalry, the Venue competes against the Mahindra XUV 3XO, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Renault Kiger, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
