The waiting period for Hyundai's flagship SUV – the Tucson – has increased in India. For starters, the model made its entry into the nation in August 2022. The model is available in two broad variants – Platinum and Signature. The SUV retails between Rs 28.63 lakh and Rs 35.46 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available with seven exterior paint choices, including Phantom Black, Starry Night, Amazon Grey, Polar White, and Fiery Red. The last two, Polar White and Fiery Red, can also be had in a dual-tone paint scheme, with a Phantom Black roof. In other news, Hyundai has been teasing its upcoming SUV, the Exter, for India. Scheduled to be launched on July 10, the Exter, according to several market reports, is expected to have an introductory price of around Rs 6 Lakh in India. Coming to the Tucson SUV, the fourth-gen model has a waiting duration of up to 12 weeks or over 2 months in our market.

Hyundai Tucson: Current Waiting Period
The fourth-generation model of the SUV has a waiting period of 12 weeks or over two months in India. It should be noted that this waiting time could vary depending on the variant, dealership, and other factors. Interested customers can contact their nearby dealership for more information. Speaking of the variants, some versions of the Tucson SUV have a waiting period of around six to eight months.
Hyundai Tucson: Engine and Gearbox
The SUV gets two engine choices – a 2-litre diesel unit and a 2-litre petrol engine. The 2-litre petrol unit produces 154bhp and 192Nm and uses a six-speed gearbox, whereas the diesel engine delivers 84bhp and 416Nm and is mated to an eight-speed transmission. An all-wheel-drivetrain (AWD) is optional with the higher-spec diesel engine version.
