Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) announced a hike in price across all its models starting from Eon to Santa Fe. Effective from the 1st of April 2013, the prices of the cars have been increased and the hike ranges from Rs 575 - 2830 across all models.

The rise in the price has been attributed to On Board Diagnostic Compliance changes (OBDC). The OBD systems are essential to a car as it gives the vehicle owner or a technician at the service centre access to the state of health information of the vehicles vehicle various sub-systems thus ensuring better diagnosis of any problem in the car.
