Hyundai recently started testing the upcoming Alcazar facelift in the country. The updated model is expected to arrive in the second half of 2024. The price of the South Korean automaker's three-row SUV starts at Rs 16.77 lakh and goes up to Rs 21.23 lakh. Both figures are ex-showroom. As of October 2023, the model has a waiting period of up to eight weeks across India. The waiting period for the SUV has significantly reduced in comparison to last month when the maximum waiting duration was 22 weeks. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol Signature (O) 6S AT SE, the 1.5-litre diesel Platinum 7S AT, and the 1.5-litre diesel Signature (O) AT 7S models have the longest waiting period of up to eight weeks. On the other hand, the 1.5-litre diesel Prestige (O) AT 7S trim has the shortest waiting time of up to two weeks. For the remaining variants, the waiting period varies between four to six weeks. Hyundai Alcazar SUV: Features
All trim levels of the 2023 Hyundai Alcazar come standard with six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, ABS, EBD, reverse parking sensors, TPMS, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, and hill start assist control. Other features include a digital instrument panel, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, connected car tech, and more.
Hyundai Alcazar SUV: Mechanical Details
The 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine in the all-new Hyundai Alcazar produces 158bhp of peak power and 253Nm of maximum torque. This unit is mated to both a 7-speed DCT and a 6-speed manual transmission. It also includes a 1.5-litre diesel engine, which produces 113bhp and 250Nm and is coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Hyundai Alcazar SUV: Market Competitors
As for the rivals, the Hyundai Alcazar competes with the likes of the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, Toyota Innova Crysta, and Mahindra XUV700 in the Indian market.

Hyundai Alcazar Adventure Edition
In August this year, the manufacturer launched the Alcazar Adventure Edition in India. This edition of the SUV, which is available in six-seat and seven-seat configurations, is priced at Rs 19.04 lakh and has received visual changes and feature additions. The exterior tweaks include a blacked-out grille and dark treatment for alloy wheels, bumpers, and skid plates. Further, the Ranger Khaki shade, which made its debut on the Exter, is also available with the SUV, which also comes with several mono-tone and dual-tone colour schemes. Inside the cabin, you will find an all-black interior with Sage Green accents. The SUV comes with features like dual cameras and a dashcam.
