Hyundai Alcazar SUV Waiting Period Reaches up to 6 Weeks in India

The Hyundai Alcazar competes with the Tata Safari, the MG Hector Plus, and the Mahindra XUV700 in India. Here's how long you'll have to wait to receive the Hyundai SUV.

The Hyundai Alcazar has a four to six-week waiting period from the date of booking in March. The SUV is available in six variants: Prestige, Prestige(O), Platinum, Platinum(O), Signature, and Signature(O), and the waiting time stays the same for each of these. The three-row SUV is priced between Rs 16.78 lakh and Rs 21.28 lakh in India. It is offered in seven monotones as well as two dual-tone paint jobs, which include Typhoon Silver, Ranger Khaki (Adventure Edition), Taiga Brown, Titan Grey, Starry Night Turbo, Atlas White, Abyss Black, Titan Grey with Abyss Black, and Atlas White with Abyss Black. The MG Hector Plus rival boasts an extensive equipment list that includes all-wheel disc brakes, hill-start assist control, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ISOFIX child seat anchors, a 360-degree camera, and a rear parking camera, in addition to six airbags. Hyundai Alcazar: Under the Bonnet

The SUV offers two engine options: a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. The turbo-petrol motor generates 158bhp and 253Nm, whereas the diesel unit produces 114.4bhp and 250Nm. The gearbox options include a 7-speed DCT, a 6-speed manual, and a 6-speed automatic.

Some More Hyundai Cars Waiting Period

Hyundai has also revealed waiting periods for the Venue and Creta, in addition to the Alcazar. For the base petrol E-MT version of the Hyundai Venue, a waiting period of up to 12 weeks or 3 months is in effect in March. On the other hand, the waiting period for its diesel and petrol variants is up to 10 weeks and six weeks, respectively. 

Three different engine options are available for the Hyundai Venue: a 1.5-litre diesel, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit produces 118bhp and 172Nm, whereas the 1.2-litre NA petrol unit delivers 82bhp and 115Nm. In comparison, the diesel engine generates 114bhp and 250Nm.

Regarding the Hyundai Creta, the petrol variants come with a 2 to 4-month (8 to 16-week) waiting period. The diesel models, on the other hand, have a maximum waiting period of 5 to 7 months (20 to 26 weeks) from the date of reservation.

Mechanically, the updated Creta boasts three engine options: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol, a 1.5-litre diesel, and a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol. The new turbo GDi petrol engine produces 158bhp and 253Nm, while the NA petrol and diesel units produce 113bhp/144Nm, and 114bhp/250Nm, respectively.
