Honda Elevate SUV Production Begins
At its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Tapukara, Rajasthan, India, Honda has started producing the Honda Elevate. As per the company, the City and Amaze sedans are also manufactured at the same plant. Notably, over 90 per cent of the SUV has been localised in keeping with the Make In India initiatives. The model was designed using the Man Maximum Machine Minimum style idea, as stated by Honda India. Honda Elevate: Engine and Features
A 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, similar to the one found in the Honda City, will power the mid-size Elevate. The company claims that this gasoline engine has been tweaked to produce 145Nm of torque and 119bhp of maximum power. For transmission, a CVT or a six-speed manual gearbox is employed. Regarding fuel efficiency, the petrol manual version claims to give an ARAI-certified 15.31km/l, while the petrol CVT variant is said to offer 16.92km/l.
