In March 2025, Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) recorded 7,228 units sold in the domestic market and exported 4,656 units. This brought the company's total sales for FY 2024-25 to over 1.26 lakh units, reflecting a slight increase from the 1.24 lakh units registered in the previous financial year. A closer look at the figures shows that domestic sales stood at 65,925 units, while exports surged to 60,226 units, marking a 60% year-on-year (YoY) growth. This also represents the Japanese automaker’s highest export volume to date. For comparison, in March 2024, the company had reported 7,071 domestic sales and 6,860 export units, indicating an overall YoY decline of 14.7% for the month.

Speaking about overall fiscal year sales performance, Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, 'HCIL sales performance in FY’24-25 has been in line with the ongoing tough business environment. While on the domestic front, the industry faced challenges in creating fresh demand from the market, which was also reflected in HCIL domestic sales, we recorded our highest ever export volumes, led by a strong export business of Elevate to Japan. The recent launch of All-New Amaze has been well received from the market, strengthening our position in the family sedan segment.”
