The extended warranty plan can be bought for Honda cars that are less than 10 years old and have a mileage below 1,20,000km.

Honda Cars India is now offering 10 years warranty on its cars! Until now, no other manufacturer gave such a long-term warranty coverage with their vehicles. Not only that, Honda’s ‘Any Time’ warranty package can also be bought if the car’s out of warranty or there’s a change in ownership.

Having said that, it’s not that straightforward. According to Honda, this is a ‘unique program’ and that means a car can be covered for 1 Year / 20,000 Kms, in addition to the standard warranty. In short, one can buy warranty package yearly. The vehicle age has to be less than 10 years (from policy start date) though and odometer reading should be less than 1,20,000km to avail this warranty plan.  The good thing is, even if your standard warranty has expired, you can still get extended warranty for your car, albeit you’ve to shell out slightly more cash in this case. Honda dealers will also run a formal inspection on the vehicle to verify if there’s a break in warranty and preventive maintenance service.

Commenting on the development, Mr. Rajesh Goel, Sr. Vice President & Director, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd, said, “We strive towards having customers for Life. In line with this commitment, Honda has introduced the industry first Anytime Warranty Program upto 10 years for our customers. This programme is a testimony to the brand attributes of Durability, Quality and Reliability associated with Honda cars and we believe it will further enhance peace of mind to our customers.”
