Honda sold 10,726 cars in November 2024, showing a 9.80% decrease from last year’s 11,891 units. Of the total, the Elevate manufacturer supplied 5,005 units in the domestic market, 3,725 units fewer than the 8,730 units sold in the same month the previous year. This led to a huge YoY drop of 42.67%. However, with a staggering 80.99% increase, the exports were a contributing factor to the shortfall. In contrast to the 3,161 vehicles shipped in November 2023, the automaker exported 5,721 units last month.
Honda recently launched the third-generation Amaze in India at a starting price of Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). The first-generation model went on sale in April 2013, followed by the second-generation model in May 2018. According to Honda, the sedan has sold about 5.80 lakh units in our market to date. It accounts for 40% of the company's total sales in India.

New Honda Amaze: Key Highlights
The new Amaze gets revamped front and rear bumpers, LED fog lights, LED headlights with integrated LED DRLs, a unique grille, new 15-inch alloy wheels, and wrap-around LED taillights (inspired by the city). In terms of features, the sedan is equipped with a semi-digital driver’s display, an 8-inch touchscreen, a wireless phone charger, and automatic AC with rear vents. It offers six airbags as standard, electronic stability control (ESC), a new LaneWatch camera, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) for safety.

The new Amaze is powered by the same 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces a peak power output of 88.5bhp and 110Nm of maximum torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual or CVT.
