New Honda Commuter Bike: What to Expect?
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India will soon unveil their newest commuter motorcycle for India. Honda reportedly plans to launch the forthcoming motorcycle under the same brand name as its 100cc commuter motorcycle, the Shine, and position it in the 150–180cc market bracket. It is expected that the new offering from Honda's stable will deliver power and torque ratings that are comparable to those of the Unicorn and Hornet. The air-cooled, single-cylinder Honda Unicorn 160 engine produces 13bhp and 14Nm of maximum torque, while the 184.4cc engine on the Hornet puts out 17bhp and 16Nm of torque.
The forthcoming model will most likely have standard telescopic forks up front and a monoshock up back. A disc brake, which is expected to be standard on this bike, may handle braking duties. Furthermore, it will most likely share features with the company's 160cc models. The new commuter bike could cost between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom), putting it between the Unicorn 160 and the CB Hornet 2.0. It is expected to hit the market in the following weeks. Upon launch, it would compete with the Bajaj Pulsar N160, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, and the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V, among others.
