Honda NX500 Arrives in India
The most recent Honda model to go on sale in India was the brand-new NX500. The initial introductory price of the model is set at Rs 5.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Now that the Japanese bikemaker has discontinued production of the CB500X, the NX500 is the only middleweight adventure tourer offered in India. It is important to note that Honda decided to import the NX500 since it is a completely built-up (CBU) vehicle. You can bring home the NX500 in Grand Prix Red, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic, or Pearl Horizon White, three striking colour options.
Design-wise, the NX500 exudes a rugged adventure tourer vibe with its rally bike-inspired front fairing, roomy 17.5-litre fuel tank, and well-proportioned rear end. Long bike rides appear comfortable and convenient owing to the upright design and spacious seat. The motorcycle boasts numerous remarkable features, including all-LED headlights and taillights, a five-inch colour TFT screen, Bluetooth, and navigation. Furthermore, the manufacturer equipped the NX500 with a switchable traction control system to make riding as safe as possible.
Mechanically, the new bike is powered by a potent DOHC 471cc parallel twin-cylinder engine with outstanding liquid cooling. With 47bhp of maximum power at 8,600rpm and 43Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm, the motor delivers a swift and agile performance. It has a 6-speed transmission and a slip-and-assist clutch, which reduces the effort and strain of shifting gears for the rider. Additionally, by providing an extra degree of stability and control, traction control improves the riding experience. The Benelli TRK 502, which costs Rs 5,000 less than the Honda model, is one of the primary rivals in this price range.
