Hero MotoCorp's Vida brand of electric two-wheelers announced a new after-sales package for owners of the V1 Pro electric scooter. Customers who purchase the vehicle before April 30, 2024, will receive the new Vida Advantage package for free, which offers a plethora of benefits and services worth Rs 27,000 over five years. A five-year/60,000-kilometre battery warranty is one of the many advantages of this after-sales package. Both the battery packs are covered under the manufacturer's new scheme. Moreover, owners will also have access to more than 2,000 fast-charging stations nationwide. In addition, the Vida V1 Pro receives free services at authorised service centres for five years, along with round-the-clock roadside support throughout that time.

Hero MotoCorp Comments

Sharing his views regarding the new package, Dr Swadesh Srivastava, Chief Business Officer – Emerging Mobility Business Unit (EMBU), Hero MotoCorp, said, "The VIDA Advantage is a category-first comprehensive after-sales proposition with value-added benefits to ensure peace of mind in every aspect of customers' ownership experience, ranging from maintenance to charging. With VIDA Advantage, we envision a future where EV adoption is not just a choice, but a convenient and rewarding experience for all.”

With a 3.94kWh battery pack, the V1 Pro can go farther than the Plus model, which utilises a 3.44kWh unit. On a single charge, the real-world range of the Hero V1 Pro stands at 110-kilometre. It can reach a top speed of 80km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 40km/h in 3.2 seconds. The model can be had in a total of five shades -  Matte White, Matte Sports Red, Gloss Black, and Matte Abrax Orange.

Hero Vida V1 Pro: Price and Competition Check

Priced at Rs 1.26 lakh (ex-showroom), the top-of-the-line Vida V1 Pro is more expensive than the V1 Plus, which costs Rs 97,800 (ex-showroom). It is important to note that these price tags are inclusive of the subsidy.

In the Indian two-wheeler EV market, the Vida V1 Pro faces off against the TVS iQube, the Ola S1 Pro, the Bajaj Chetak, and the Ather 450X. The electrified Vida is sold through the new Hero Premia showrooms.

Hero Vida Electric Dirt Bike

Recently, the Indian manufacturer showcased an electric dirt bike under the Vida brand at the first-ever Bharat Mobility Expo. Its flat seat, tall front fender, and spoked wheels on both ends—the front being larger than the rear—give it a dirt bike-esque appearance. Both wheels come with off-road tyres. Other elements include wide handlebars, a compact rear portion, a visible bash plate, and 'Vida' branding on the sides.

The battery pack, however, is concealed within the main frame. Disk brakes on both ends handle breaking, while chunky upside-down forks up front and a monoshock on the rear make up the dirt bike's hardware suspension arrangement. Whether or not this Hero Vida dirt bike will be offered for sale as a road-legal motorcycle is still up in the air.
