Hero Destini 125 to Launch with New Updates

The manufacturer will shortly debut the new Destini 125 scooter in the Indian market. For 2024, Hero has made considerable revisions to the Destini 125's design. The company recently released a new teaser for the upcoming model, showcasing a few improvements the upgraded scooter will feature.

The scooter is seen in the teaser with a disc brake up front and a drum brake is likely available at the back. Additionally, a Combi Braking System and alloy wheels with tubeless tyres are expected to be offered. The Activa appears to have influenced the design of the new tail lamp, which would use LED units and form the letter "H" for Hero at the back. Turn indicators with halogen units are still present on the front apron. However, there is a new 'H' shaped LED daytime running lamp and an LED headlamp with a projector setup. The pillion would also have a rear backrest to enhance comfort. Furthermore, Hero MotoCorp will use copper accents and maroon shade for the seat and trim. The revised model is expected to arrive with several new paint job options, lesser chrome, and added features.

On the mechanical front, the same 124.6cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine coupled to a CVT should power the new Destini 125. In its current configuration, the engine produces 9bhp of maximum power at 7,000rpm and 10.4Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm.

The scooter currently comes equipped with a digital-analogue console, a USB charger, a pillion backrest, and storage cubbies.

Upon launch in India, the Hero Destini 125 will go up against the Suzuki Access 125, TVS Jupiter 125, and Honda Activa 125. It is expected to carry a price tag, ranging between Rs 80,000 and Rs 85,000.
