Hero MotoCorp has been one of the world's largest scooter and motorcycle manufacturers for over two decades now, and it is also the top two-wheeler when it comes to the Indian market. Accruing more than 56.21 lakh units in total sales—both domestic and export—the company concluded its fiscal year 2023–2024. During Q4 of FY24, the company witnessed a 10 per cent surge in sales numbers. Moreover, the brand's global business revenues increased by 16 per cent in the fiscal year. In March this year, the firm sold over 4.90 lakh motorcycles and scooters, representing a 5.57 per cent decline. Let's take an in-depth look at the company's recent sales performance.
Hero MotoCorp Sales Figures
Hero MotoCorp upheld its EV sales targets in March by selling over 4,000 VIDA V1 electric scooters at retail. Consequently, the firm saw its highest-ever monthly sales in the electric vehicle market. The company has introduced its new mobility brand, Vida, to more than 100 cities nationwide so far. Through a partnership with Ather Energy, Hero MotoCorp will offer its customers access to over 2,000 charging stations spread across 100 cities through an interoperable charging network. With all of the recent launches, it hopes to achieve double-digit revenue growth in FY 2025.
The firm created waves in the premium motorcycle market recently with the introduction of six new models: the Mavrick 440, the Harley-Davidson X440, the Karizma XMR, the Xtreme 125R, the Xtreme 200S, and the Xtreme 160R 4V. With the opening of more than 400 Hero 2.0 stores and the addition of 75 Premia outlets, Hero also improved its service network.
Hero Expands Pleasure Plus Xtec Range
A new Sports variant was recently added to the Hero's Pleasure Plus Xtec range. It is priced at Rs 79,738 (ex-showroom) and intends to cater to riders who seek a blend of performance, style, and connectivity functions. With eye-catching orange highlights, the new variant has a vivid Abrax Orange Blue colour scheme. A sporty touch is added to the scooter's design with the number '18' displayed on its side panels, front, and front mudguard. In keeping with the overall style, the rims also have orange accents. In addition, it has body-coloured grab rails and rearview mirrors, as opposed to the standard model.
A robust air-cooled, 4-stroke, single-cylinder OHC engine with 110.9cc displacement powers the Pleasure Plus Xtec Sports. With a decent 8bhp of peak power and 8.7Nm of maximum torque, its engine ensures smooth acceleration and effective operation on both city and highway roads.
