Hero MotoCorp Domestic Sales Dip 20% Year-on-Year in February
In February 2025, Hero MotoCorp recorded total sales of 3.88 lakh units, with 3.57 lakh units sold in the domestic market and 30,722 units exported overseas.

In February 2025, Hero MotoCorp sold a total of 3.88 lakh units, consisting of 3.57 lakh units in the domestic market and 30,722 units internationally. While exports experienced a notable 32.69% growth, both domestic and overall sales declined by 20% and 17.15%, respectively. Among the different segments, scooters performed well with a 13.58% increase, reaching 35,756 units. However, motorcycle sales saw a significant YoY drop of 19.37%, totaling 3.52 lakh units.
For the year-to-date (YTD) period in FY25, Hero MotoCorp sold 53.50 lakh units overall, showing a 4.26% growth from the 51.31 lakh units sold in the same period last year. Motorcycle sales rose by 4.98% to 49.70 lakh units, while scooter sales fell by 4.37% to 3.80 lakh units. Domestic sales increased by 2.83%, reaching 51,01,672 units, while exports saw a strong rise of 46.03%, hitting 2.48 lakh units.

Hero MotoCorp’s Vida brand made notable strides in the electric vehicle sector, dispatching 6,200 electric scooters in February, signaling steady growth and commitment to expanding its EV lineup.
Other Highlights
The bookings for the Hero Xpulse 210 and Xtreme 250R will now officially open on March 20, 2025, instead of the previously planned February. Both bikes were launched at the Auto Expo 2025, priced at Rs 1.76 lakh and Rs 1.80 lakh, respectively. During the event, Hero MotoCorp also disclosed the pricing for the Xoom 160cc and 125cc scooters. It also showcased the updated Mavrick 440, along with the much-anticipated Karizma XMR 250 and the exclusive Karizma XMR 210 Combat Edition.
On the mechanical front, the Xpulse has a 210cc liquid-cooled, DOHC single-cylinder engine that produces 24.26bhp and 20.7Nm and is paired with a six-speed gearbox, and a slipper and assist clutch. It is equipped with adjustable telescopic front forks and a monoshock, offering 210mm and 205mm of travel, respectively.

In contrast, the Xtreme 250R packs a 250cc liquid-cooled engine that generates 30bhp and 25Nm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Other highlights include a steel trellis frame, 43mm upside-down front forks, a six-step preload-adjustable rear monoshock, 17-inch wheels, and disc brakes with switchable ABS.
