The leading Indian two-wheeler manufacturer has introduced the "Hero For Startups" (HFS) programme with a mission to "redefine mobility for Bharat and beyond." The HFS programme aims to identify and support innovative startups in India that show the potential to revolutionise the automotive sector. The automaker stated that the initiative aligns with its vision of "Being the Future of Mobility" and is designed to build a dynamic ecosystem of technological innovation and talent.

Participating startups will have access to Hero MotoCorp’s R&D facilities in Germany and India, along with its extensive dealer and supplier networks. They will also receive mentorship and the opportunity to develop paid Proofs of Concept (PoCs). Successful PoCs could be integrated into Hero’s product lineup, providing startups with market exposure and growth opportunities. The programme’s primary goals are to advance disruptive technologies, collaborate with emerging ventures, and drive sustainable, scalable innovation to shape the future of mobility.

Hero MotoCorp Sales Figures: December 2024
In other news, Hero MotoCorp recently announced its sales figures for December 2024. The company recorded a 17.53% decline in total sales, which amounted to about 3.25 lakh units in December 2024, compared to 3.94 lakh units in the same month the previous year.
Sales of motorcycles fell by 15.83%, totalling over 2.98 lakh units, while scooter sales plummeted by 32.84%, reaching only 26,390 units. Domestic sales for both motorcycles and scooters dropped 22.15% year-on-year (YoY) to roughly 2.94 lakh units, while exports saw a significant rise of 90.9%, reaching 30,754 units.

In contrast, the two-wheeler manufacturer’s electric vehicle division, VIDA, marked a key achievement, recording 46,662 retail sales during the same period, reflecting positive momentum in the electric mobility sector despite the overall decline in sales.
