MG Motor recently announced its sales figures for the month of June. In the said month, MG Motor reported selling 5,125 units. According to the information provided by the automaker, it sold 4,504 units in June 2022, representing a year-on-year (YoY) gain of 14 per cent. The carmaker had a successful third quarter, clocking 14,682 units from April to June. This represents a significant increase for the firm as it sold 10,519 units in this quarter last year, or a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) gain of 40 per cent. The company has experienced growth, dispatching 4,551 units in April 2023, 5006 units in May 2023, and now 5,125 units in June. Since it makes up around 70 per cent of MG sales, the Hector SUV remains the brand's best-seller in the market. At the 2023 Auto Expo in January, the Hector received a facelift, continuing the SUV's upward trajectory. Moreover, MG Motor is hopeful that sales will rise even more despite recent supply disruptions caused by cyclone Biparjoy. The automaker claimed that as India prepares for the upcoming festive period, consumer demand should pick up after the monsoons.

2023 MG Hector SUV: Powertrain and Features
For the all-new MG Hector, the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel or 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbopetrol engine choices are still offered. The Hector's diesel engine can generate a maximum power output of 167bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque. The petrol engine, on the other hand, can produce a maximum torque of 250Nm and 141bhp. Both manual and automatic gearboxes are available for the SUV. The SUV comes in Style, Smart, Smart Pro, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro trim levels. Customers may choose from variants with 5, 6, or 7 seats as well.
With visual updates, a large 14-inch HD portrait touchscreen infotainment system, a digital Bluetooth key, and a comprehensive i-SMART connectivity suite with 75 connected features, the Hector was redesigned for 2023. The Level 2 Autonomous ADAS, which incorporates what MG refers to as TJA (Traffic Jam Assist), represents a substantial boost in terms of functionality. As the car follows the vehicle in front of them in stop-and-go traffic, the TJA, which is effectively a hybrid of adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist, enables the driver to take their hands off the wheel and their feet off the pedals. The MG Pilot ADAS display may be accessed through the instrument display, which offers a wide range of extra customisable settings. As the steering wheel turns, the SUV's clever turn indicator instantly activates the turn signals. Further features on offer are forward collision warning with emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, and high-beam assist.
