Gixxer, V-Strom SX, Avenis, and More Help Suzuki Motorcycle India Record Highest-ever Sales in FY 2023-24

Suzuki recently introduced the V-Strom 800DE in India for Rs 10.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The middleweight adventure bike locks horns with models such as the Honda XL750 Transalp, the Triumph Tiger 900, and the BMW F850 GS.

Suzuki Motorcycle India achieved its highest-ever sales in FY2023-24 with 11,33,902 units sold. This indicates a 21% year-on-year increase from the 9,38,371 units delivered during the FY2022-23. SMIPL's domestic deliveries reached 9,21,009 units, showing a 26% increase over the 7,30,756 2Ws sold in FY2022-23. Compared to 2,07,615 units dispatched in the last fiscal year, the automaker exported 2,12,893 units in FY2023–24, marking a 3% rise.

In February of this year, the automaker reported total sales of 97,435 2Ws, a 38% increase over the same month the previous year. Domestic sales rose by 59% to 83,304 units from 52,451 in February 2023. However, international shipments declined, from last year's 18,170 units to 14,131 units in February 2024.

Suzuki Motorcycle India March 2024 Sales

SMIPL reported cumulative sales of 1,03,669 units in March 2024, an increase of 6.2% over the 97,584 units delivered in the same month last year. In the domestic market, the company supplied 86,164 units, which is an 18% YoY growth from the 73,069 units sold in March 2023. This March's exports amounted to 17,505 units, down from the 24,515 units shipped during the same month the previous year.

Suzuki V-Strom 800DE Launched in India

Suzuki recently launched the V-Strom 800DE in India for Rs 10.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The flagship adventure motorcycle features a 776cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces 78Nm at 6,800rpm and 84bhp at 8,500rpm. It has a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle comes with several features, including a ride-by-wire, five-inch colour TFT display, a drive mode selection, a bi-directional quickshifter, a USB charging port, ABS modes, and the Suzuki Easy Start System. In India, the new Suzuki faces competition from models like the Honda XL750 Transalp, the Triumph Tiger 900, and the BMW F850 GS
