General Motors India has announced a price hike of upto Rs. 10000 across its entire model range from January 2014. The company has not had a good year in India so far and looks forward to the Auto Expo in India to bring out their plans for the future.
The company has already had trouble with the Sail hatchback, sedan and also the Tavera, all of which we first reported about. Sales have been down and the company is looking for a better and brighter 2014.
The price hike from January 2014 is to 'partially offset input cost pressure', says a company official. Almost all the car manufacturers have already announced a price hike and General Motors is one among the last to do so.
