This Automotive Student Service Educational Training Centre will help the students have more career opportunities by providing them with technical training.

In an attempt to enhance technical knowledge and career opportunities in the youth of Mumbai and neighbouring places, Ford India inaugurated an exclusive Ford technical corner at St Joseph’s Industrial Training Institute, Don Bosco Centre for Learning, Kurla, Mumbai. This centre will provide knowledge on Ford technology with reference aids including Ford training material, tool kit, component display and cut section. This initiative will also serve as a hub to create a pool of talented and skilled professionals for the automobile industry in India.

At the time of the inauguration, Mr. P. K. Umashankar, Vice President – Customer Service Operations, Ford India said, “After the successful launch in Pune last week, we are delighted to come to Mumbai to provide world-class automotive training to students in the state of Maharashtra. We are focused to make Ford ASSET program the primary source of trained pool of technicians for Ford dealers and look to expand to more cities in the coming year. With the launch of the program, we have truly created a real asset that will not only help students with better growth and employment prospects but also the automobile industry with skilled workforce.”

These kind of programs by Ford India strive to create empowered students who are certified to work on Ford cars and hence creating job opportunities for them.
