Hyundai India has made public its August sales numbers. The automaker increased its YoY sales by 14.82% in the last month, selling 71,435 units overall, compared to 62,210 vehicles during the same period last year. Domestically, the automaker reported shipping 53,830 cars in August, up from the 49,510 units it sold at the same time in the previous year, which is an 8.72% increase. In addition, the automaker exported 17,605 cars in the past month as opposed to 12,700 vehicles shipped at the same duration in 2022, a gain of 38.62%. Hyundai currently has a wide-ranging network of 1 354 sales locations and 1 531 service locations in the country. All in all, 13 different models make up the robust lineup of the carmaker in our nation, including the Hyundai Aura, Exter, Venue, Verna, Creta, and others.

The carmaker is planning to bring the updated Creta with a range of features to our market. Although there is no official information about the launch of the SUV, the facelift model of the Creta was spotted on the road last month, indicating that its launch is approaching. Hyundai Sales August 2023: What the Company Has to Say?
Commenting on the August 2023 sales numbers, Mr. Tarun Garg, COO, of Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said, “HMIL’s August 2023 sales number (Domestic plus Exports) of 71 435 units is a key indicator of an ever-growing acceptance of our products in both domestic and export markets. The festival season in India has kicked off on a positive note with strong Onam sales in the Kerala market and this is an indication of the festive fervour in other parts of the country in the coming months.''
He further added ''Demand for SUVs in our portfolio remains robust, contributing more than 60% to our Domestic sales in August. Exter continues to excite customers, with more than 65,000 bookings already received by HMIL so far.”

Hyundai Venue Knight Edition Launched in India
Last month, Hyundai rolled out a special version of the Venue called the Venue Knight Edition. It comes in 3 variants – S(O), SX, and SX(O), and has a starting price of Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). On the mechanical front, the SUV offers a choice of two engines: a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol and a 1.0-litre T-GDi petrol. The 1.2-litre petrol engine comes with MT in the lower S(O) and SX variants. Meanwhile, the top-spec SX(O) model gets a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT unit. According to the firm, ''Venue Knight Edition has been developed keeping in mind the sporty and differentiated requirements of discerning customers.''
