In September 2023, Hyundai Motor India recorded its highest-ever monthly sales of 71,641 units, marking a YoY growth of 13.35% over 63,201 vehicles delivered by the company in the same month last year. In the domestic arena, the carmaker sold 54,241 vehicles, which is up from 49,700 units shipped in September 2022, representing a rise of 9.13%. The automaker internationally shipped 17,400 units in the past month, exhibiting a growth of about 28.87% over the 13,501 cars shipped in the same period the year before.
While disclosing the sales figures for the past month, the Indian division of the South Korean company, indicated that the majority of the brand's domestic sales last month were from the sports utility segment. The company also disclosed that Exter gained excellent customer response from the market. Let's take a sneak peek at Hyundai's performance in the last month.

Hyundai Sales September 2023: SUVs Driven Growth
According to Hyundai, the festive period played an extensive part in the excellent sales figures and helped domestic sales climb by more than 9% year over year in September 2023. The SUVs were the main sales drivers and the newly introduced Exter received excellent consumer reviews in our market. The carmaker added that more than 65% of domestic sales were of sports utility vehicles.

Hyundai Sales in August 2023: Key Highlights
Hyundai delivered a total of 71,435 vehicles in August 2023, an increase of 14.82% from the same period in the last year. The Indian arm of the South Korean firm sold 53,830 units in August, up from 49,510 cars delivered in the same month the last year, representing a gain of 8.72%. In terms of exports, the automaker earned a YoY growth of 38.62%. It shipped 17,605 cars overseas in August this year as compared to 12,700 vehicles exported in the same month in 2022.
