Hyundai India has announced that it sold 57,115 units in January 2024, marking the company's highest-ever monthly sales in the domestic arena. It indicates a 14% year-on-year increase in domestic sales. Overall, the carmaker delivered 67,615 units in the most recent month, showing a jump of 8.5% in sales over the same time the previous year. In contrast to these successes, the company's foreign shipments fell considerably last month. In January 2024, the company exported 10,500 units, a 13.72% decrease from the previous year's 12,170 units. The Grand i10 Nios, i20, i20 N-Line, Aura, Exter, Venue, Venue N-Line, Verna, Creta, Alcazar, Tucson, Kona Electric, and Ioniq 5 are among Hyundai's 13 models now available in our market.

Tarun Garg, COO, of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, “Hyundai Motor India has begun 2024 on a rousing note achieving its highest ever monthly domestic sales of 57 115 units with 14% growth over the same period last year. This strong growth has been fuelled by an overwhelming customer response to the newly launched Hyundai CRETA, which has already garnered close to 50,000 bookings within a month of the booking open announcement.''
He also added ''our entry SUV Exter continues its amazing run in the market clocking great sales numbers as well as winning prestigious auto awards in the country. Going forward we continue to be cautiously optimistic about the momentum of the auto industry in 2024.”
New Hyundai Creta Launched in India
The 2024 Creta has been introduced by Hyundai in India, with an introductory price tag of Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). In our market, reservations for the updated SUV are now open for Rs 25,000. The new Creta features a new tailgate, newly designed 5-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels, an aerodynamic spoiler, quad-beam LED headlights, a black chrome parametric radiator grille, and distinctive connected LED taillamps. It also sports Hyundai's 'Sensuous Sportiness' global design philosophy.
As with the previous model, the new Creta has a plethora of features. The list includes a flat-bottom steering wheel, ambient lighting, two integrated 10.25-inch units (one for the instrumentation and one for infotainment), wireless phone charging, blind spot and surround view monitors, a 360-degree camera, dual-zone automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, a Bose premium sound system with eight speakers, a panoramic sunroof, and more.

The revised Hyundai Creta has retained the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) gasoline engine and the 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine from the predecessor. However, a new 1.5-litre turbocharged GDi petrol engine has been added to the engine range.
