Ducati Global Sales Dip 4% in First Nine Months of 2023

Ducati has revealed its sales numbers for the first three quarters of this year. Let's take a sneak peek into the performance of the company during this period.

Ducati has announced its global sales figures for the first nine months of 2023. It sold 47,867 motorcycles across the globe at the end of the first three quarters of this year, which is a drop of 4% from the 49,858 bikes delivered in the corresponding period of 2022. With 8,680 units shipped all over the world, the Multistrada V4 in all its versions was the foremost best-selling model for the Italian auto giant in this period. It is interesting to note that Ducati's top three markets were Italy, the United States, and Germany. In particular, sales in Italy increased by 2% to 8,474 units, while shipments in the United States rose by 2% to 6,704 units. Additionally, the German market contributed to overall sales, with deliveries rising by 1% to 5,764 vehicles. However, Ducati's sixth-largest market — China —experienced a significant decline during that time, with 2,201 motorcycles sold, which is a drop of 46% from the same period in 2022.

Ducati Global Sales 2023: Multistrada V4, Panigale V4 and More Amongst The Best-Selling Motorcycles

While overall global sales for the Italian manufacturer decreased, some markets witnessed growth, which bolstered the company's performance in the first three quarters of 2023. As already stated, with 8,680 sold, the Ducati Multistrada V4 in each of its configurations (Variants) was the top-selling motorcycle from January to September 2023. In addition, the sales of the Panigale V4 and the Diavel V4 rose in this period, with a 22% increase, and 2,417 Diavel V4s sold worldwide, respectively. Among the new products Ducati has revealed this year are the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour, the DesertX Rally, and the Multistrada V4 RS. Aside from this, the 659cc single-cylinder Superquadro Mono engine from Ducati has recently been unveiled as the most powerful single-cylinder unit ever made. This new motor is built on the 1,285cc Superquadro mill, also found on the Ducati 1299 Panigale, and is scheduled to make its debut in the new Ducati motorcycle on November 2.

Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally Launched in India

The Multistrada V4 Rally, a new version of Ducati's premium adventure tourer, was launched in India. The bike's price for the Red version is Rs 29.72 lakh, while the cost of the Brush Aluminium Matte Black variant is Rs 30.02 lakh. These are ex-showroom prices. Among the many changes made to the new Rally model is a larger, better-range assuring 30-litre fuel tank. Features-wise, the Rally version gets a 6.5-inch TFT dash with Bluetooth connectivity, an electronic suspension system, a Ducati simple lift function, and a front and rear radar system that supports blind spot detection and adaptive cruise control. The bike comes equipped with a 1,158cc V-shaped 4-cylinder engine, mated to a 6-speed transmission with a slip and assist clutch.
