In October 2024, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) recorded a 2% year-on-year (YoY) sales growth, largely fuelled by the strong performance of models like the Creta. The company sold 70,078 units in October 2024 as compared to 68,728 units in the same month last year. This increase highlights the brand's ability to adapt to consumer preferences and maintain competitiveness in the Indian automotive market. The Creta continues to lead in the compact SUV segment, while the Exter and Venue appeal to buyers with their modern features and design. This growth positions Hyundai favourably as it continues to meet the demands of Indian drivers in a dynamic environment.

Hyundai Sales Figures: October 2024
The South Korean automaker has reported sales exceeding 70,078 units, comprising 55,568 units in the domestic market and 14,510 units exported. The company emphasised that this sales volume represents the third-highest monthly figures for domestic sales and overall sales since it began operations.
Last month, Hyundai's domestic sales totalled 55,568 units, reflecting a slight increase of 0.8% from October last year. Exports amounted to 14,510 units, up 8.6% compared to the 13,600 units sold during the same month last year. Notably, SUV sales reached an all-time monthly high of 37,902 units, with the Hyundai Creta alone contributing 17,497 units. Additionally, CNG sales also set a record with 8,261 units sold, representing 14.9% of the overall domestic sales.
Looking at Year-to-Date (YTD) performance for January to October 2024, total sales grew by 6% year-on-year, reaching around 6.48 lakh units. Domestic sales rose by 1.1% to 5.15 lakh units, while exports saw a significant increase of 26.6%, totalling approximately 1.33 lakh units.

Commenting on the company's latest sales performance, Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer, HMIL said, 'We witnessed a strong demand for our SUV portfolio during the festive period, leading to our highest-ever monthly SUV sales at 37,902 units, including highest-ever monthly domestic sales of the Hyundai Creta at 17,497 units. SUVs remain a cornerstone of our lineup, representing an impressive 68.2% of our total monthly sales in October 2024, with similar penetration in urban as well as rural markets. This strong demand underscores the broad appeal of our SUV line-up and our commitment to delivering quality and performance to all our customers. We continue to bolster our CNG penetration and HMIL's innovative Hy-CNG technology has helped us achieve highest ever CNG sales volume of 8,261 units thereby contributing 14.9% to domestic sales volume in October 2024.
