Hyundai Motor India has achieved its highest-ever sales of 7,77,876 units in the FY 2023-24, marking a significant increase of 8% over 7,20,565 units sold in the previous fiscal year. It delivered 6,14,721 units in the domestic market compared to 5,67,546 units in the previous fiscal, representing an exceptional 8.3% growth. The company shipped 1,63,155 units in FY 23–24, a 6.7% increase over the 1,53,019 units sold the year before. Mr. Tarun Garg, COO, of Hyundai Motor India Limited, commented on the sales “FY 23-24 sales number of 7.77 lakh is a testimony to the great acceptance of our diverse product line-up’’. The South Korean carmaker claims that multiple models in various segments, including the Creta, Ioniq 5, and Verna, contributed to the highest-ever sales results.
Hyundai March 2024 Sales: Key Highlights
Hyundai delivered 65,601 units in total in March, a notable 7% increase year-on-year from the 61,500 units sold during the same period last year. Of this total, the automaker sold 12,600 units in the international market and 53,001 units in the domestic market. The South Korean manufacturer saw YoY growth of 5% on the home front, while exports increased significantly by 16% over the previous year.
According to Hyundai ''In 2023-24, we launched many new models as well as product upgrades including Exter, new Creta, Creta N Line, new i-20, and the introduction of ADAS in Hyundai Venue and Venue N Line. HMIL’s pursuit of technology & innovation was also recognized by critics, and the coveted ‘Car of The Year’ title was awarded to the Exter, Verna, and Ioniq 5 by prominent Indian Automotive media. The three products together amassed over 50 awards cumulatively for HMI in this FY. As we move forward into 2024-25, we will continue to work diligently towards creating more excitement and enhanced value for our beloved customers.”
Hyundai February Sales 2024: A Quick Recap
In February of this year, Hyundai sold 50,201 units, up 7% year-on-year but down 12% month-over-month (MoM). The sales were aided by the recently remodelled Creta and the compact SUV Exter, according to Hyundai. Notably, in February 2024, the new Creta accounted for 15,276 units or 30% of all Hyundai dispatches.
