Continental Tires has collaborated with Indag Rubber to promote the retreading of tyres, giving tyres a second life. During the pilot project, retreaders from the three markets - Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra - will offer the warranty programme and retreading services to TBR Normal Load (NL) fleets. TBR is an acronym for Truck and Bus Radial tyres. TBR tyres are mainly designed to meet the diverse needs of commercial vehicle operators.
As part of the partnership, the German marque will provide a second-life warranty on NL (Normal Load) casings under the Conti Bharosa programme, while Indag will offer a warranty on the retreading procedure and the tread rubber on the NL fleets. Post the completion of the pilot project, the programme will be implemented across the country.
