Classic 350, Bullet 350, Hunter 350 and More Assist Royal Enfield Register 6% YoY Sales Growth in February

Royal Enfield has released its February sales numbers. Last month, the Chennai-based manufacturer sold 75,935 motorcycles overall, marking a 6 per cent increase over the 71,544 units sold in the same period the previous fiscal year. In comparison to 64,436 units delivered in February 2023, domestic sales saw a 5 per cent surge to 67,922 units in February 2024. In contrast to the comparable month the previous year, when 7,108 units were sold, exports rose 13 per cent to 8,013 units in February this year.
Speaking on the firm's sales performance for February, B Govindarajan, CEO, Royal Enfield said, “Over the last few months, while our new motorcycle launches have done exceedingly well, our existing motorcycles have also contributed to our strong growth momentum across bookings and retails. Last month, as well, our bookings and retails continued to grow at healthy levels. In February we also celebrated one year of the launch of our thoroughbred cruiser, The Super Meteor 650, which was marked by nationwide community get-togethers and rides. As we come to the close of the financial year, we are confident of a strong and healthy overall performance, and believe that we can continue this momentum for the next year as well.”
Royal Enfield Sales Figures: February 2024
With 7.69 lakh units sold, the brand's total YTD sales in the home market alone increased by 14 per cent from 6.75 lakh units sold the previous year. In terms of Year-Over-Year (YoY) sales, the renowned bikemaker sold 67,922 units in the domestic market last month, representing a 5 per cent increase over the 67,922 units it sold in February 2023.
In addition, Royal Enfield's export volume increased by 13 per cent to 8,013 units last month from 7,108 in February last year. In February 2024, the manufacturer sold 75,935 units overall, a 6 per cent YoY increase over the 71,544 units it sold in the same month the previous year.
The 350cc Lineup Rules the Charts
The majority of Royal Enfield's sales continue to be generated by its 350cc series, which includes the Classic 350, the Bullet 350, the Hunter 350, and the Meteor 350. The company has its headquarters in Chennai. Notably, out of the 64,810 units sold in February of last year, 66,157 bikes in the 350cc range were shipped last month, representing a 2 per cent YoY increase.
The remaining models, particularly the 650cc range that includes the Interceptor, the Continental GT, the Super Meteor, and the Shotgun, as well as the Himalayan 450 and the Scram 411, together produced a monthly sales volume of 9,778 units in February. The company sold 6,734 motorcycles from this category in the same time frame, contributing to this year's noteworthy 45 per cent YoY gain.
