Citroen will raise the prices of all its models in January, following similar announcements by various car manufacturers such as Tata Motors, Mahindra, MG, Hyundai, Audi, and others. The French automaker's Indian branch increase the ex-showroom pricing of its models, such as the C3, eC3, and C3 Aircross, by 3%. According to industry sources, the upcoming price hike is driven by various market conditions, and the company’s attempt to retain the edge and high standards of the products. For those unaware, Citroen entered into our market with the C5 Aircross SUV back in 2021, followed by the petrol-powered C3 in July 2022 and its electrified version in February 2023. Citroen's latest release in our country is the C3 Aircross, which arrived in two seating configurations in October this year. The C3 Aircross is available in three variants – You, Plus, and Max – with prices ranging between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 12.54 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom pan India).

The French firm recently unveiled the new Citroen e-C3 for the European market. Let's take a look at some of the aspects of this refreshed model, which is slated to go on sale in Europe in the second half of next year.
New Citroen e-C3: Key Highlights
The new e-C3 version costs around 23,300 euros (approximately Rs 20.50 lakh) in Europe. The car has a distinguishing frontal appearance in contrast to its predecessor, owing to a pair of C-shaped lights on either side of Citroen's new emblem. It has a ground clearance of 163mm and is available in five different paint schemes: Mercury Grey, Elixir Red, Polar White, Montecarlo Blue, and Perla Nera Black. Furthermore, the car is available in two versions: You and Max.
The e-C3 uses a 44kWh Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) battery, which is capable of delivering up to 320km of range. With a single front-mounted electric motor, the EU-spec car can go from 0 to 100km/h in 11 seconds and reach its maximum speed of 135km/h. The battery can be charged from 20% to 80% with a 100 kW DC charger in approximately 26 minutes. With a standard 7 kW AC charger, however, the same function takes 4 hours and 10 minutes.
Citroen C3X India Launch Soon?
Ahead of its release in India, the fresh spy photos of the Citroen C3X surfaced online in the month of November. In our market, the new Citroen car is anticipated to be on sale in early 2024, although no official announcements have been made so far. Previous spy pictures of the C3X seem to suggest that it shares some of its interior parts with its siblings – the C3 and the C3 Aircross.
