Citroen India has announced a significant revision to the standard warranty for its internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. It now offers coverage for up to 3 years or 1 lakh kms, whichever is reached first. This enhancement, effective immediately, replaces the earlier warranty terms of 2 years or 40,000 kms. However, this adjustment does not affect the brand's electric vehicle lineup warranty in India, as the coverage for the all-electric eC3 remains unchanged. In addition to the standard warranty, the French car manufacturer continues offering extended warranty plans for potential customers. The new warranty for ICE vehicles offers robust coverage, safeguarding against defects in manufacturing and materials. It also allows for warranty transfer, ensures repairs are performed using authentic parts and authorised services, and removes any unexpected expenses for eligible repairs.

Commenting on the new warranty scheme, Shishir Mishra, Brand Director, Citroen India said, 'Citroen’s mission has always been to provide Indian customers with vehicles that combine innovative design, comfort, and reliability. By introducing a 3-year/100,000-kilometer warranty as standard, we’re not just reaffirming our confidence in our product quality but also enhancing the ownership experience for our valued customers in India.'

The C3 gets two engine options – a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. The former is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, while the latter comes with either a six-speed manual or a new six-speed torque converter automatic (AT).

In addition to a 1.2-litre 110 turbo-petrol engine, the Citroen Aircross has a 1.2-litre Puretech 82 engine. This unit delivers up to 105bhp of power and 205Nm of peak torque, making it slightly less powerful than the 1.2-litre turbo engine, which puts out 109bhp and 205Nm of torque. In terms of transmission, there are three options: a five-speed manual, a six-speed manual, and a six-speed automatic. When paired with a six-speed MT, the turbo-petrol engine delivers 109bhp and 190Nm. With a six-speed AT, it produces the same 109bhp but the torque increases to 205Nm. Meanwhile, the NA petrol unit, equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox, generates 81bhp and 115Nm of torque.
