Castrol and Trumph have announced the signing of an agreement for a partnership in India, where Castrol will be the lubricant supplier for Triumph Motorcycles and will supply the fully synthetic, high-performance, Castrol Power1 Racing engine oil to Triumph dealerships throughout India.
The partnership will also see Castrol and Triumph jointly undertake marketing and promotional activities for Triumph motorcycles in India, with Castrol also providing technology support to Triumph through co-engineering of lubricants for future motorcycle models.
Mr Ravi Kirpalani, Managing Director, Castrol India Limited, said, “Castrol and Triumph are both iconic brands globally and hence this is a natural partnership as Triumph establishes its presence in India. Castrol has been in India for over a hundred years and we are delighted to lend our technical and marketing support to Triumph as they bring their exciting range of motorcycles to India. Castrol is one of the leading brands in the Indian two-wheeler lubricant market providing consumers with pioneering technology brands like Castrol Power1. We will work closely with Triumph to develop and supply the latest technology products as they expand their footprint in the country.”
in addition to this partnership in India, Castrol and Triumph have also tied up globally to make an attempt to break the motorcycle land speed record with the world’s most technologically-advanced streamlined motorcycle – the Hot Rod Conspiracy/Carpenter Racing Castrol Rocket.
The Castrol Rocket is a unique 1,000-horsepower motorcycle built like a fighter jet. The goal is an eventual 400-mph-plus record-breaking run. Castrol has been actively involved with land speed racing on multiple platforms across the globe including the Bonneville Salt Flats where land speed racing has occurred every year since 1914.
