Austria-based Brixton Motorcycles has announced its plans to enter India in partnership with KAW Veloce Motors Pvt. Ltd., which will be responsible for production and distribution. With this collaboration, Brixton will open a manufacturing unit and an R&D centre on our shores to develop India-specific motorcycles and make our country an export base for Southeast Asian and African markets. It will also establish a vast dealer network in key Indian cities, starting with 15 stores in 2024 and growing to 50 by 2025. The Austrian motorcycle company is expected to launch four models in 2024, including an ADV during the festive season. Brixton Motorcycles, a brand owned by the Austrian KSR Group, is named after the neighborhood of the same name in Lambeth, London. It offers a diverse range of motorcycles internationally, including cafe racers, scramblers, classics, and neo-retro models, ranging from 125cc to 1,200cc. The company has not yet revealed its lineup for India, but we expect more information to become available as the debut date draws near. For those unaware, Brixton motorcycles are designed in Austria and produced by a Chinese joint venture.
While the specific models for India are still unknown, industry reports indicate that they are being designed at Brixton's Austrian design center and will be manufactured at the upcoming manufacturing site in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
