Bosch inaugurated its new plant at Oragadam, Chennai. Officially inaugurated by Mr. Manfred Baden, Executive Vice President-Sales, Bosch Electrical Drives; Chairman, Bosch Electrical Drives India Pvt. Ltd, the plant is built with an investment of Rs 35 Crores. Spread across an area of 40,000 square meters, the plant will replace the previously rented facility to meet growing demand.

The facility in Chennai with its state-of-the-art equipment encompasses design, development and Testing along with scalable production of actuation, thermal and wiper systems for the Indian automotive market.

Manfred Baden expressed the importance of the Indian automotive market and said “We want to use our global expertise and experience to provide customized solutions for the Indian market and therefore consolidate our global market position. This new facility is not just a landmark for Bosch Electrical Drives India alone but a landmark for Bosch.”

With the location in Chennai, Bosch has expanded their presence beyond manufacturing sites in Bangalore, Nashik, Chakan and Jaipur.
