The prices of BMW India's lineup of vehicles have been updated for the 2024 model year. Since it arrived in India last year, the price of the premium SUV, the BMW X1, has increased by up to Rs 90,000, whereas the price of the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe has surged by up to Rs 50,000. The price revision for the BMW X1 sets it between Rs 49.50 lakh and Rs 52.50 lakh, while the 2 Series GC is now priced between Rs 43.90 lakh and Rs 46.90 lakh. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures. The latest iteration of the BMW X1 sDrive 18i M Sport model sees a price increase of up to Rs 90,000. On the other hand, the sDrive 18d M Sport diesel variant now costs Rs 60,000 more. The 220i M Sport, 220i M Sport Pro, M Performance Edition, and 220d M Sport are the available versions of the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe. The petrol versions of the model now cost Rs 40,000 extra, while the diesel model costs Rs 50,000 more. Notably, the price tag of the M Performance Edition stays unaffected.

BMW X1: Powertrain and Features
The 1.5-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine generates 134bhp of maximum power at 4,400-6,500rpm and 230Nm of torque at 1,500-4,000rpm. The diesel engine, meanwhile, can produce 147bhp and 360Nm of peak torque. Both mills are paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which powers the front wheels and has paddle shifters. According to the manufacturer, the BMW X1 sDrive18i M Sport can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 9.2 seconds. The M Sport's ARAI-claimed fuel efficiency is 16.13km/l.
The X1 SUV boasts an infotainment system with a 10.7-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch information display within its cabin. The standard BMW Live Cockpit Plus is powered by BMW Operating System 8. Among the standard amenities are an interior camera, BMW Digital Key Plus, BMW ID functionality, smartphone connectivity via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, two-zone automatic climate control, sport leather steering wheel, BMW Maps, and a rain sensor that triggers the headlights. Along with these standard technologies, the car also comes equipped with a front-collision warning system, cruise control with brake function, and parking assistant, which includes a reversing assistant and camera.

BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe: Engine and Features
With the introduction of a top-tier petrol variant, the 220i M Sport Pro last year, the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe received several new features. Among these include a powerful 205-watt 10-speaker music system, BMW gesture control, and a head-up display. The model retains the features of the standard model in addition to the upgraded ones. A 10.25-inch digital console and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with BMW OS 7.0 are the two of these. Ambient lighting, voice control, wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, auto start/stop, 3D navigation, and additional amenities are all offered as standard.
Under the bonnet of the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Sport Pro is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that is callibrated to deliver a maximum power output of 189bhp and a peak torque of 280Nm. Power from the engine is transferred to the front wheels via a 7-speed Steptronic dual-clutch gearbox. Modern performance-enhancing features like launch control and a shift-by-wire gear selector are also included in the car.
